Cupcakes and champs!

We live in an awesome neighborhood and we have an amazing ward!

There is a family in our ward whose dad was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig's disease about a year ago. Over the past year, his health has declined rapidly and as a ward we decided to do a fundraiser to celebrate his life! It quickly became a community event with a bake sale, silent auction, carnival, fun run, and 3 on 3 basketball tournament. The turnout was incredible! People are so generous it is amazing!

Sara and I signed up to make TONS of cupcakes. We have an awesome recipe book and will gladly whip up a batch of cupcakes for any occasion!

We made 7 different kinds of cupcakes for the bake sale...I borrowed her picture of the ones she made since she is so great and took a picture!

We had sour cream bluberry, churro, strawberry shortcake, oreo, donut, double fudge and pink lemonade. MMMMM!!!

When Greg found out there was a bball tournament, he quickly put together a team with Kent and Tom...but ended up losing his two team mates...Kent was in charge of the tourney and Tom hurt his back and couldn't play!

Luckily, my Uncle Dave and two cousins Zachary and Jacob ended up being in town that weekend! It didn't take much convincing, and Greg found his two new teammates.
Greg was pretty stoked with his two new teammates when they won the whole tournament!!!!

3 on 3 CHAMPIONS!

Team Awesome consisting of Greg, Jacob and Zach! They even got these pretty sweet plaques! Way to go Team Awesome!

What a fabulous day to celebrate a fabulous man. We love you Kreg!
